Short Description
The application "Serial Interface" consists of a hypertext-module for the mediation of basic knowledge in digital data-transmission. With the aid of simulation, the principle functioning of serial data-transmission can be elucidated. With another module, the connection of an interface controller to the processor can be simulated and its behaviour is visualised. Furthermore it is possible to simulate the programming and controlling of the interface unit.

The programme has been developed for the vocational fields Technical Informatics, Digital Technology, Programming.

Remarks
This programme contains a broad spectrum of possibilites to simulate complex circuit-behaviour, it is suitable for self-reliant interactive learning.
Some course materials (in German), developed by Kurt Eblinger, are also available. Part 1 and Part 2 can be downloaded from the Server.

- PC (at least 386), MS Windows
- ToolBook 1.5 Development- or Runtime-Environment.
